End of week 8

Ooo 77 days to go. Why I ever thought I could run 10k I don't know! However, the object is to complete the Great Manchester 'Run', in over 90 minutes (easy!), and raise as much as possible.
I've been to the gym again this morning and once again my body didn't want to be there. In 30 minutes I had done 3.72kms - so better than Friday - but more was walking, albeit very fast. I did 35 minutes in total and completed 4.17kms. I don't actually need to start going faster. I just need to do more for longer, which is difficult when trying to fit in a more than full time job. I'm aiming to complete in as close to 90 minutes as I can, and anything under 100 I'll be happy with. Another 77 days and it will all be over.
We went to Cafe Turin when I got back, and had a relaxing brunch! I needed feeding, but it is a bit extravagent for a Sunday lunchtime. We had a walk along the Kirklees Trail to see what is going on - we've noticed diggers there this week. It looks like the outdoor activity area (basketballs and football I think) is being started. Lots of trees have been cut down, so I might have to move house if I end up with a view of a sports area rather than just trees and fields (yippee).
Paul has hoovered my car, which was full of cat hairs after I collected Pudding the Cat from mums yesterday and she tried to escape from her cardboard box all the way home.
End of week 8 (estimated due to cloud affecting GPS on Wednesday!):
Running/walking: 10kms ish, 84 minutes

I'll try to up it a bit this week, although I may have to visit the gym in peak time and pay as I'm actually out doing some inspection work this week. Watch this space
