All work, play to follow

It's been a shocking week so far. I'm off all next week, and there is a deadline to meet at work that seemed difficult even if I didn't have weekends off. I've been setting my alarm extra early and working until extra late, and I'm beginning to see daylight. If I work late tonight, with just 1 more very early get-up, I think I'll manage.
I did go to the gym yesterday. I didn't manage 10 minutes running (very nearly) but did 1.1km before I started fast walking. I'd done almost 20 minutes when the machine came to a dead stop, which nearly broke my legs. I'd accidentally pulled the emergency stop cord when I got my water. I lost interest after that and did a bit more walking. As the machine couldn't give me any data I can't put it on here either.
I did intend to go today as I am a prisoner in my own house tomorrow. I decided finishing work was perhaps more important. My new thing to put on my arm, so I can carry my iphone, complete with running app to show how far I've been (I don't know the actual name for it - arm holster maybe?)arrived so I may possibly try it out tomorrow, but I need to have my wits about me, hence me probably being housebound.
Get well soon to John, who had his toe amputated yesterday. It sounds sore. I'm kindly lending him Pudding the cat to give him cuddles while he recovers.
Tea break over, back to the grindstone.
BUT first, I've got over the £200 mark for sponsors!

  1. Great news about hitting £200 - I will add to that once I'm in meanful employment, promise.
You'll deserve a holiday after this week but no holiday from training - looking forward to hearing how you get on on the open road!
